An overview of My Big plunge

My Big Plunge is an editorial initiative that actively covers the start-up industry and successful entrepreneurs of India. It was founded by Ashutosh Bhattacharya in 2013 and has formed to be a leading portal regarding entrepreneurial stories and talent in the country. Starting off with a series of powerful documentaries on the start ups culture of India, the brand has grown up to be a full scale editorial that features articles on news, pop culture, technology, politics and travel from all over the world.

In the ongoing documentary series (which can be viewed on the company’s YouTube page), some of the most notable and interesting start-up ventures have been featured. Many of these
start-ups have grown up to be full-scale enterprises. This is the first initiative in the country that a no-profit series actively participates in high quality production of the documentaries.

Among the companies covered, some of the most known are HealthKart, Jabong, ShopClues, Milagrow, PressPlay, FoodPanda etc. My Big Plunge has also recently tied up with leading financial daily The Economic Times to feature the content the brand delivers. Till now, HealthKart and PressPlay have been featured in the online portal of The Economic Times with the content provided by My Big Plunge.

At times, the brand has also featured stories that focus on the cultural aspect of the country. One of the most popular stories was of Laxman Rao, an ordinary tea seller in the country who showcases incredibly humble entrepreneurship. My Big Plunge has also covered events like Comic Con in New Delhi. It has also created a mashup video to motivate entrepreneurs to take the plunge and start their own venture. My Big Plunge also has a sister website called Sound Plunge that covers the independent music industry in India.

The editorial continues to grow at a rapid pace and plans to feature more inspiring stories showcasing entrepreneurship in India.
